Giancarlo Ciccone, a professional journalist and broadcaster, is the UK correspondent of the Italian-Swiss Broadcasting Corporation.

As a foreign commentator from London for the RAI News Programmes, he has voiced his own talks on British political, economic and cultural events on a daily basis, and also presented "Quadrante Internazionale", the RAI Radio 3 magazine of current affairs, over more than ten years.

He has been head of the Italian Unit of the BBC World Service for twelve years, and prior to that worked with it as diplomatic correspondent, producer of special projects, host of talk shows and editor of "Londra Ultima Ora", its flag news and current affairs programme in Italian.

He has interviewed the leading personalities of the British political spectrum and cultural sector, contributed to many investigative TV programmes by Enzo Biagi, including “Il Caso”, and narrated several programmes broadcast by the BBC TV Educational.

A graduate of the Italian National Academy of Dramatic Art Silvio d’Amico, Giancarlo Ciccone speaks accentless Italian with a radiogenic voice and also works as a narrator providing voice-overs for public organisation and blue-chip companies specialized in film commentaries and commercials.

The productions to which he has contributed include: educational programmes for the University of Cambridge, Hodder Education, Buckingham Palace, the British Museum; commentaries for Land Rover, the Republic of Malta, NATO; commercials for Bloomberg, Discovery Channel, Bertolli, Milka, Olio Dante.
